Dr. Michelle Kuperminc of the University of Virginia is conducting a clinical study to determine what the best way is to measure Body Composition in children with Cerebral Palsy. Body composition is the amount of muscle, bone and fat in your body. There are several different ways we can measure body composition and would like to know which one is best for children with CP.
The investigators in this study sponsored by the University of Michigan are working on a tool to help people who are severely paralyzed. This tool is called a brain-computer interface (BCI). BCIs can connect to computers or other electronic devices, such as a power wheelchair. In
this study, patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) will be able to control the tilt feature of their power wheelchair using only brainwaves, allowing for independent control.
Trakya University School of Medicine, Turkey study to evaluate the impact of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) on morbidity and mortality of newborn infants with perinatal asphyxia. The study concluded that after Neonatal resuscitation (RP) courses, the number of patients with perinatal asphyxia and with no resuscitation and also the duration of hospitalization decreased significantly, whereas the first minute Apgar scores increased significantly.

Based at Indiana University and established in 1992 through a cooperative agreement with the National Park Service, NCA has emerged as a leading authority on access issues unique to park and recreation programs and facilities. NCA is a major contributor to the study of disability and inclusion in the life sciences. Through the comprehensive services of Research, Technical Assistance and Education, NCA focuses on universal design and practical accessibility solutions creating inclusive recreation opportunities for people of all abilities.
