National Center on Accessibility - Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Studies School of Health, Physixal Education and Recreation The National Center on Accessibility promotes access and inclusion for people with disabilities in parks, recreation and tourism. Based at Indiana University and established in 1992 through a cooperative agreement with the National Park Service, NCA has emerged as a leading authority on access issues unique to park and recreation programs and facilities. At NCA, we believe that the principles of universal design and inclusion are important factors for achieving personal wellness and building healthy communities. Among people with disabilities, recreation and active leisure pursuits are vital for rehabilitation from illness or injury, prevention of disease, longevity and improved quality of life.

NCA links the preferences and needs of people with disabilities to those of practitioners designing facilities and planning programs.

National Survey of children with Special Halth Care Needs CSHCN - Data Resource Center - The purpose of The Data Resource Center for Child and Adolescent Health (DRC) is to advance the effective use of public data on the health and health-related services for children, youth and families in the United States. The DRC does this by providing hands-on access to national, state, and regional data findings as well as technical assistance in the collection and use of this data by policymakers, program leaders, advocates and researchers in order to inform and advance key child and youth health goals. Currently, the DRC website includes national and state-based data on over 100 indicators from the National Survey of Children's Health (NSCH) and the National Survey of Children with Special Health Care Needs (NS-CSHCN). The DRC's easy-to-use interactive search feature allows users to select, view, compare, and download national survey data results for every state and HRSA region.

Produces and disseminates policy-relevant statistical information on the demographics and status of people with disabilities in American society. The Center's work focuses on how that status is changing over time with regard to employment, access to technology, health care, community-based services, and other aspects of independent living and participation in society.

The National Sports Center for the Disabled's mission is to positively impact the lives of people with any physical or mental challenge through quality adaptive recreation programs in over 20 sports. The NSCD's impact on lives is direct, immediate and visible. Over 23,000 lessons are provided annually."
