  • HTML5, which updates the HTML specification to accommodate modern Web applications, has gained a lot of adherents in vendors like Microsoft, Google, and Apple. But the specification is plain not ready yet for deployment to websites, an official with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which oversees HTML5, stressed this week
  • The problem we're facing right now is there is already a lot of excitement for HTML5, but it's a little too early to deploy it because we're running into interoperability issues," including differences between video on devices

    This is a excellent source to know about HTML 5 which is created by World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG). The W3C site exlplain new features about HTML5, but bear in mind that HTML5 is still work in progress. The latest versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Opera support some HTML5 features. Internet Explorer 9 will support some HTML5 features.

    This is why i said ios5 is FIRST TRUE WEB APP READY PLATFORM!!! It quite a technical article but you want the pie of the story... Finally. Apple has been holding back its support for HTML5,even with Nitro engine on ios4.2 and making it very hard to develop HTML5 "MOBILE" webapp. IOS5 is able to support html5 libraries(most) and degrade gracefully to choose the best performance for the application. DollarDash runs so smoothly over mobile devices now and save me the hassle of writing illegal hacks for mobile devices. Pftt! Keeping up with technology definitely pays off!
