"The purpose of the ADL Mobile Learning (mLearning) Guide is to provide a universal resource on all topics pertinent to mobile learning. This resource is intended to provide you with an introduction and will explore the following topics about mobile learning: the basics, planning, learning content, development options, and design considerations. This app was developed by the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative's Mobile Learning Team. ADL is sponsored by the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (OUSD P&R). This is an official app of the U.S. Government ADL Initiative."

@Ignatia Webs: Designing #mLearning for people with #disabilities or learning difficulties - 1 views

Ignatia suggests using a private wiki because of text-to-speech options, and secure social media-driven learning locations, such as a movie archive on Facebook. Subtitle options may be difficult with, e.g., YouTube, if you have an accent, but it can be done with an audio recorder (though it is labor intensive). This might be a good blog to follow further.

Learnlets » The Tablet Proposition - 0 views

"If you're using it to solve problems in your location, to access information you need here and now, it's mobile, whether pocketable or not. That's what mlearning is, and it's mostly about performance support, or contextualized learning augmentation, it's not about just info access in convenience. "Which actually segues nicely into my main point. So let's ask, when would you want a tablet instead of a pocketable when you're on the go? I think the answer is pretty clear: when you need more information or interactivity than a pocketable can handle, and you're not as concerned about space."
