The tools are Snapguide, to create video with captions, Meograph, a timeline creator, and Thinglink which creates interactive images. These tools allow for creativity and self-expression, but also encourage students to go deeper into a subject or theme.

This would be very handy, and easy to use, for adult ESL/EFL, social studies classes, or cross-cultural study: What is considered important in each location? How is the same news story treated differently in different cities or different parts of the world? Excellent for visual learners.

Use this tool to outline/brainstorm an informational essay (a 3-part academic essay). Great for practicing the formal essay and adaptable to almost all levels.

Although the home page looks like it's for children, the text is really fairly complex, so high school or adult is more appropriate. Offers suggestions on point of view, reviews, summaries, etc. A sophisticated mind-mapper.

A great visual presentation of a scaffolding activity for younger learners - but adaptable to older ones, too. Use drawing to spark deeper thinking and set pathways to research later.
