Evernote for iPad seems to have a new interface, and this video is the most up-to-date I coud find--by J. Hannam 10/31/13. The introductory video covers just about everything, including note creation, sharing with other apps, annotating images using Skitch (built-in), and connecting with Explain Everything to create lessons. Evernote has always seemed a little more trouble than it's worth, but maybe after more trial and error, I'll get to like it. Might be useful for student projects, if the teacher is allowed to share the notes and can skillfully organize them when received. The information age really demands organization skills.

Input Logic, the Vancouver-based company behind the now just four-week-old service, has already caught the attention of local investors, as well as Evernote, who met with the team to discuss possible monetization ideas." This might be a useful project for high school and adult learners.

Though business oriented, this blog post points to some excellent features for teachers to use Evernote, including sharing folders and some keyboard shortcuts.

Evernote allows you to save notes, images, websites, et al., across all of your devices, search them easily and mash up to create a project or presentation. This site has many introductory videos and guides to help you get started and to use Evernote in the classroom.

Gives lots of examples on how to use Evernote. Also links to discussions about similar applications. The more you use it, the more you need it.

Neat idea, though not free. Post-its saved into Evernote may be a help for some teachers. The process described here is one-on-one.

www.Videonot.es requires a Google account, or use Evernote, and allows you to create notes as you watch a video online. Students can review notes, and they have become clickable, leading them back to the point in the video where they made the note originally. There are thousands of formulas, "recipes" is what IFTTT calls them, available in the gallery of recipes." Azendoo helps teams assign and track their various roles in a group project. I can imagine this as a nice way for teachers to help students decide on tasks and roles with the group as well. Reminders to the team help keep work on track. Azendoo allows as many workspaces as need, and each space has 10GB of storage. works with Evernote, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box to help sharing.

5 neat apps -- there are probably comparable apps for Android and other mobile devices. Whether you have an artistic bent or prefer hand-written notes, one of these might suit you and could be linked into Evernote or OneNote, most likely. T/H to R Byrne.

This app is like Evernote on steroids. Free from Microsoft, you can organize a whole class using the apps built into the interface for all devices, both computers and mobile. Organize and publish lesson plans and assignments, create quizzes and make hand-written notes on them, send emails, add photos from other devices, create video and audio messages, clip any webpage to view later on or offline. Works with a large number of other apps, such as fax/scanner tools, Feedly for archiving information, smart pens, ModNotebooks, which digitizes paper and pencil documents.
