This website provides leveled readers (Levels A-G) that teachers and students can access for free. HSED students can take the HiSET Reading FPT 7 (2017) practice test. Then, the HSED teacher or students can check their test answers. This playlist of 20 videos goes through each reading problem on the practice test. Students can select the question numbers that they missed and watch Jason Walker (Iowa HSED teacher) use a think-aloud approach to explain how he knew the answer.

The National Adult Literacy Agency in Ireland compiled this list of adult literacy worksheets. The reading worksheets include practice and reinforcement activities related to phonics, prefixes, suffixes, abbreviations, the 100 most common words, etc.

ELLs can practice vocabulary, listening, and pronunciation in the context of the citizenship test. Students need to register for this website, but it use is free.
