Nice public relations piece. They got the date wrong for the lodge charter but other then that it might help describe the lodge's activities and purposes to the general public in a positive way.

Missouri elks seem to be doing well

What a tragedy as there are no winners here. Losing this lodge is a tremendous loss for the Elks and gives the Order quite a public black eye. Hopefully the remaining members of the Austin lodge can keep the facility. Even if they do win in court though it will be quite a struggle to regain the former membership, become financially stable and remain a viable non-profit for the long term. I wish them the best of luck. They will need it.
