Are you able to install Joomla 1.5 without installing it in a subdirectory? I'm using Simple Scripts and I get this warning before entering the installation process:
I thought I was doing this correctly, but apparently not. I've uploaded the smilies pak's into my smilies folder inside the public_html; however, when I then go into the ACP in my site and try to install the new smilies pak's it says there are no new smilies to install.

I've just moved over to BlueHost and have migrated all of my sites but I have a pdflib problem. I use an old version of pdflib (using the Perl bindings) which requires the standard ./configure, make, make test, make install compile proceedure.

When installing Joomla1.5 to the root folder - you receive the typical over-write warning. I am doing this because I want to use the main domain as a new site.
Got a newbie question: How can I use RoundCube at mail.mydomain.com? I've installed RoundCube, first at mydomain.com/webmail. But when I typed in that address, it would take me to the Squirrel/Horde login page.
I have installed a wiki on my BH account. Does anyone have experience adding basic authentication so I can restrict who can view/edit the pages for the wiki?
