bluehost webhosting

Is anybody else's mysql server down. It's not even in the status list on our cpanel

I am new here and I am getting my first website up and running. I also have a question for you guys already.

I have been through many different tutorials and help pages and I can't get RoR to work! Why can't the .htaccess Rewrite logs work? How come the .htaccess rewrite don't work in proxy mode?

How do I change my nameservers I cant for the life of me figure out how..?

I'm having a problem insalling the vbulletin forums on my site. Here is what I tried(which is not working).

I would like an email to be automatically sent out to someone if they have a certain word in the Subject of their email to me.

I just joined up to bluehost and have a few newbie questions, I am very new at making site I know how to code HTML and build but I had have never own my own domain name I use my ISP service the company I joined up with.

Okay, I have been trying to figure this out, and at this point I feel like a complete idiot. I uploaded a index.html file using my ftp client and I can't figure out #1 where to put it, and #2 how to make any of the folders accessible.

I have been trying to follow the directions for migrating from joomals instruction from their site but I haven't had any luck. Currently I have 1.0 installed with fantasico and I was trying to migrate to 1.5/simple scripts.

Just opened a new web site with BlueHost. When I attempt to open the site with a browser I get "Forbidden etc". Does this have anything to do with the permissions on "default.html" being set to 700? If so what should it be?
