Im new to the whole FTP thing. I'm not even a web developer (not yet anyway) But i needed it for staorge space on the go which is pretty convient for me. Once in a while i'd like to give access to my co-workers (I.T. techs).

I've been asked to backup a phpbb forum and all I have is sftp access (to the root), but in there I don't find the files of the forum, only a .cpan and .ssh folder.

Sometimes I can't access my website, I got 503 Error with following message: "The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

I am redirecting robots.txt to robots_ssl.txt for https requests however am receiving a file not found error when I attempt to access this (https://www.mysite.com/robots.txt)

Okay, I have been trying to figure this out, and at this point I feel like a complete idiot. I uploaded a index.html file using my ftp client and I can't figure out #1 where to put it, and #2 how to make any of the folders accessible.

Just opened a new web site with BlueHost. When I attempt to open the site with a browser I get "Forbidden etc". Does this have anything to do with the permissions on "default.html" being set to 700? If so what should it be?
