Featuring an authoritative source of legislation across the world that deals with environment preservation through promulgating policies on sanctions, regulations, authorizations and restrictions on natural resources. Asia Asian legislation concerning the environment largely varies due to the wide gaps in local customs that could become challenges, leading them to agree on standard procedures and strengthen ties among each neighboring nation. Regulations also highlights the need for dedicated agencies in each country that will handle emergency scenarios with the notable frequency of natural disasteres in the region as well as issues of climate change. The need for humanitarian organizations for more effective deployment and better coordination with the authorities in conducting relief activities is also included. US United States has specific legislations for each facet of the environment in place that : - limits air pollutants by monitoring emissions of factories and utility plants. - leads probes in discharges of hazardous chemicals or oil and proper cleanup. - closely monitoring pesticides for its possible effects in nature and on people. - manages the distribution and manufacture of chemicals to ensure that their exposure will not cause harm to the environment. - regulates the commercial and individual production of hazardous wastes as well as its proper disposal. - implements clean and safe drinking water policies in conjunction with local water treatment plants and preventing pollution. European Union Europe's environment legislations mainly deal with climate change and the subsequent decrease in biological diversity as socio- economic developments are inevitably dependent on those. Their regulations seek to protect and value life diversity for the coming generations by monitoring its implementation closely.

Crown Capital Management Environmental Reviews - Lack of Political Leadership on Enviro... - 1 views

David Nussbaum, Chief Executive of WWF UK, echoed these sentiments, saying: "The green economy has… bucked the trend of the recession and is the UK's strongest growth sector. But these areas all need support, and mainstream politicians from each of the parties have failed to show visible and consistent leadership on the environment. "Given that our leaders recognise that we're in a global race to develop environmentally sustainable economies, it's in their interest to show environmental leadership." Independence Although Crown cooperates with various organizations, we maintain our being an independent body, free from control of any particular government, state or institution and unimpaired by their own respective interests. Public Awareness Educating and enlisting the public to secure and maintain the quality of our natural resources is one of our priorities. We believe that by having well-informed and knowledgeable people, especially in the government sector will make it possible to maximize the benefit of existing legislation, and creating more, in order to preserve our e nvironment. Sustainability A long-term responsibility of preserving resources for future generations that cover economic and environmental factors. Sustainability enables the environment to be productive and diverse enough to host humanity along with other living organism through effectively managing human impact on the ecosystem based on information provided experts. Taking steps towards sustainability is a difficult challenge as it entails international and local law, individual lifestyles and urban planning. Measures should be implemented on re-evaluating work practices, altering general living conditions and making new technologies in order for a sustainability goal to be accomplished. Accountability Crown Capital Eco Management also aims to raise awareness of our society getting trapped in progress with only the short-term concerns in mind for failure to protect and conserve our natural resources could lead to irreversible consequences not only in the future civilization but to the whole ecosystem itself. Along with the recognition that the environment is needed for us to survive is the realization that we must answer for its sustainability and be responsible for managing the great resources we are entrusted with. Independence Our group strives to make every sector of our society, especially the public, recognize the need for transparency in what is and will be happening to

Are Electric Vehicles Better for the Environment than Gas-Powered Ones? - 1 views

  •
The study found that while the environmental impact of making electric vehicles is greater than for making gas and diesel vehicles, this is more than made up for by the greater impact of gas and diesel vehicles while they're being used. This is true in terms of total energy consumption, use of resources, greenhouse gases, and ozone pollution. The electric vehicles were assumed to be charged from a grid that includes significant amounts of fossil fuels. (Other studies show that electric vehicles beat gas-powered ones in terms of greenhouse gas emissions even if they're charged in regions that depend heavily on coal. Here's one such study. In some areas, hybrids are a better choice than electric cars.) Electric vehicles come out behind in two areas. They contribute slightly more to acid rain. And they're slightly worse in terms of causing algae blooms than gasoline cars (but better than diesel). Related Article: http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Blog-Crown-Capital-Management-Jakarta-4663261

Transportation is responsible for 27 percent of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions; residential and commercial buildings contribute 18 percent and 17 percent, respectively. The report concludes by describing ways to reduce such effects. Strategies include safeguarding sensitive areas; focusing development in built-up areas and around existing transit stations; building compact; mixed-use developments; designing streets that are safe for all users, including walkers and bikers; and using green building techniques. Through the federal Partnership for Sustainable Communities, EPA, HUD, and DOT coordinate federal investments in infrastructure, facilities, and services to get better results for communities and use taxpayer money more efficiently. Perciasepe, Jones, and Porcari held the town hall to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the HUD-DOT-EPA Partnership for Sustainable Communities and talk with communities about how the federal government can be of assistance. Blog - Crown Capital Eco Management Jakarta Indonesia - Green Energy - 0 views

With emerging renewable energy alternatives today, it is highly important that they be given enough attention even early on their developmental stages. Such technologies might not be ready for commercial uses yet but their potential should be amply tested and funded. Society's modern lifestyle is in serious need of energy that can be generated and consumed and yet, not compromise the future state for generations to come; to have no anxiety that it would cause damage to the environment. Green energy could come from such sources available in our environment that are naturally replenished and efficient like tides, wind, sunlight and geothermal heat. It is very different from low-carbon energy as the former does not add to the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere at all, thus, coming with minimal environmental harm and greenhouse gas. Concerns in climate change and increasing oil prices are some of the contributing factors in drawing the spotlight to renewable energy and its potential for commercialization. Green energy can effectively replace our conventional fuel of today in all its main uses, which are in heating, vehicle fuel and electricity generation sectors. In fact, 19% of the electricity generated around the world today comes from renewable sources. Furthermore, since the emergence of biofuels in the United States 6 years ago, consumption of conventional oil has decreased significantly. For a green energy resource or technology to be sustainable, it has to give the maximum environmental advantage while still serving its purpose.

The rising and falling of ocean temperature or the so called cyclical deception is seen as a major extortion on the weather. The said pattern reported will last long as the Atlantic warming persists. The research was carried out at the University of Reading and is published in the journal Nature Geoscience. R The cycle of scheme investigated was known as the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation. This change sees the waters warm or cool over a period of several decades. The researchers compared three periods in this cycle: a warm state from 1931-60, a cool period from 1961-90 and the most recent warm period starting in 1990 and continuing now. The paper notes that conditions in the last warm period in the Atlantic are broadly similar to those pragmatic now. Ozone and Freon Fraud - 1 views

There is solid information that ECO-EXTREMISTS, CORPORATE CEOS, GOVERNMENT ENVIROCRATS, and MEDIA MOGULS form a loose coalition to promote radical, costly, self serving goals, and to mislead and confuse the people at large about environmental problems. Further, many so called scientists, who live from direct or indirect U.S. tax funds, ape these extremist views for personal gain. For example, Federal Government Agencies have prepared, including color coded maps, plans to establish BIO-DIVERSITY STRATEGY for all American land and people. This plan will, if implemented, establish "HABITATS" for all our people; except for the ELITE. In some areas of Kentucky, such as Jefferson County, citizens are forced to have annual auto emissions tests because of EPA regulations. The EPA and local regulators use slight of hand data by sounding local alarms whenever Ozone levels, as measured by them, reach the mid-point of their scale. Their recorded readings have not reached the upper level of their scale at least as far back as 1980. Further, there is not scientific data to support their claimed danger if the upper scale is reached. Everyone knows when it is hot and or humid, just by going outside their homes or work places. In a recent article in the Kentucky Journal of Commerce and Industry, 8/8/98 "EPA LIED", it was pointed out the EPA had "cherry picked" data on secondhand tobacco smoke as a cause of cancer; and no data existed to support EPA claims in this (tobacco) area. As shown above, the EPA and its supporters are prone to LIE!!! Related Link: http://www.greenoptions.com/t/5279/crown-capital-eco-management-carbon-trading-scam

Population Growth: Malthus Rolls Over - 1 views

So what if this mobile information were coupled with information on how our legislators were voting, on critical issues, and how their votes had the power to impact, either positively or negatively, the environmental data that was scrolling across our screens? What if the data tracked our lifestyle choice-including having children-and told us both the immediate and likely future impact of those choices on the environment, ten, fifteen, and twenty years in the future? Now that might just have the chance of bringing about powerful behavioral change. Related Link: https://foursquare.com/p/crown-capital-eco-management-indonesia-fraud/39015570

Better Feed Efficiency Also Means Fewer Environmental Concerns From Chicken Litter - 1 views

  •
Phytase can be relatively cheaply and easily produced and added to poultry feed, but that solves only one aspect of the problem. "Another anti-nutritive factor found in cereal grains used in broiler diets include the presence of non-starch polysaccharides - NSP, which are fibrous material found in plant cell walls," Lee said. "Chickens lack the digestive capacity of ruminant animals and the presence of NSP in the diet increases intestinal viscosity resulting in decreased digestibility of the diet." Fortunately, according to Lee, another enzyme, carbohydrase, can help increase Digestibility of high fiber broiler diets. Both enzymes need be added at low rates, typically from 0.25 to 1 pound per ton of feed. But a question remained: Which strains of the two enzymes were best combinations for chicken health and feed conversion efficiency? To determine this, Lee has been conducting studies comparing how multiple levels of phytase affects the bio-availability of phytate with and without non-starch polysaccharides. The feed tested was a combination of corn and soybean meal with added vitamins and micronutrients - a standard poultry ration. The relationship between the effects of the two enzymes turned out to be more complicated than expected. Non-starch polysaccharides increased the bioavailability of phosphorus but at only one of the three levels of phytase concentrations tested. The results of his study will give commercial poultry producer's information they need to fine-tune feed mixture to reduce phosphorus runoff from chicken litter without endangering flock health, Lee said. What It Means To Be Green - 1 views

  •
On a typical day, you'll find me crawling out of bed on a minimal amount of sleep. The rest of my morning routine involves downing a litre of coffee before noon in attempts to ramp up my productivity for the rest of the day. I guess it's pretty clear that I lead anything but a relaxed lifestyle. I don't start my morning with green tea and yoga, and I don't blend chia seeds into a kale smoothie. Like most people, I face a jam-packed schedule, and although I'd love to be green in terms of both the environment and a Zen-mindset, I haven't mastered either yet.
