Wanted to throw a question out for my BlendKit friends...How long does a typical blended learning course take to keep the learners on task and engaged? Does anyone have a preference of time on task for a course? #BlendKit2015

I think that's a total 'it depends' question... just too many other variables! I strongly suspect short commitments will attract more people, though.

I'm thinking at the most one month! But it really should be decided by the learner...I wish that the whole thing could be done online...but here we are talking about a blended environment, so there has to be a F2F session. In that case I would think that two F2F sessions, one at the beginning and one at the end, would work best in an academic library environment.

I teach at a community college and when a hybrid (or blended) learning class is offered, it needs to follow the usual schedule for the class. The only difference is that there is a shorter time spend face-to-face and then the rest is online. As Susan said above, the length of a class "depends" on the circumstances that the class is offered under.

I also teach at a community college and my blended is one class a week and assignments online through Canvas. I came across this website for interactions in F2F and thought I would share. It is suggestions of best practices of interactions to get the most out of class.
