A wall of reasons why teachers love smartboards. I would like to help school administrators better understand why teachers love using SMART Boards in the classroom. The more informed they are about the benefits of having a SMART Board in the classroom, the more likely they are to move closer to putting more SMART Boards in the classroom.

Great graphing program within the Math is Fun suite...works great with smartboard and graphs can be converted from one type to another. You can input your own labels and values.

Simplified weather report site for kids that gives temperature and tells how to dress for the weather. Have to type in code for Canada, go to Need help and look for your location on Yahoo weather...look for code that appears in url, e.g. caxx0054 for Calgary.

This is a powerful video from CBC. It introduces the world of people within the autism spectrum disorder and provides insight into how they feel about us, our views toward them, learning, etc. Fascinating!

Online thesaurus that displays word associations in a colorful web. The thesaurus gives you an option to change the display, viewing all or just the synonyms, antonyms, fuzznyms, adverbs, adjectives, verbs, nouns. In that respect, it's a lot less visually confusing than Visuwords.

This is a very educational volcano simulation. After learning about the three main types of volcanoes, choose the viscosity and gas settings and make a volcano erupt. The visual and auditory effects are great! The site tells you what kind of volcano and explosion your settings have created.

Navify is an interface for viewing Wikipedia articles with videos, music, photo galleries, and comments. One of the strategies for supporting students' recognition network is using multiple examples and using a variety of media. This resource makes it easy!
