Created this wiki page in response to a request for support materials for learning about continents in a grade 4/5 classroom.

Similar to Wordle except you can save to a file instead of having to take a screenshot...also lets you create shapes such as whales with your word cloud.

While many educators realize technology's enormous potential to help them differentiate their instruction so that all students can learn, regardless of students' needs, abilities, or learning styles, it might be hard for them to find concrete applications of this approach to emulate in their classrooms. But in a Jan. 28 webinar from the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), experts provided several examples of classroom projects that can help all students learn while keeping them engaged.

On Planet Foss, kids upload photos to solve particular science challenges. This site looks very promising!

Allows you to drag videos from youtube to mix them together. Would be a great way to collect a series of videos on the same topic or collect your students' work in one location.

57,000 videos and 7 million photos can be used online for free and shared via twitter, flickr and fb. Can also be downloaded for a small fee.

Excellent math site for elementary and middle school. Includes a section where students can model problems.

UDL booklet is available for download from the SET-BC website. I've ordered 1500 print copies and 25 will be sent to every school that participated in the BC UDL project. The booklet has a short intro to UDL, links to resources, and essays about the impact of 6 "big ideas" in UDL from teachers involved in the project.

Awesome collection of downloadable videos showing kids using technology at school and home. These videos are licensed under CC and can be embedded or downloaded. Click on the videos link at the top...there are about 20 pages of videos there already.

23 online activities to try with Web 2.0 tools...pretty good overlap with the BC UDL project.
