Under motor vehicle act, Government amends it mandatory for manufacturers to fit AC's in the driver's cabin of all new trucks sold from 1 April 2017. In India truck drivers spend long hours in long-distance hauling even in adverse environmental condition like extreme cold or extreme heat, which is quite a tiresome job. But with AC being mandatory in all the trucks, drivers can now take a sigh of some relief along. As "Air-conditioning in trucks is not a comfort or a luxury feature but a feature that can prevent many serious road accidents, while making drivers cover more kilometers with less or no driver fatigue & more comfort & attention on road.

There are selected occupations you ought to think multiple times before even considering applying for a job in the field. Truck driving is one such occupation. Initially I was excited about becoming a trucker, and understood that it would be hard work and was willing to put in all I got but I do take offense of not owning a truck.

It's no new news that India has proved to be a robust market for British luxury cars. Lately the industry has witnessed the further hike in exports or luxury cars from UK to India. But now the cess on sports utility vehicles and luxury cars is likely to be increased to 25 % from the current 15 %, making these vehicles more expensive. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council has taken a decision to this effect but has not discussed this yet. The increase in the cess will take the effective tax rate on these cars to 53 %.

The recent spate of farm loan waivers across the country may be causing a lot of trouble to bankers and analysts being negative for banking stocks. But, the move is expected to give a tremendous boost to tractor or farm equipment manufacturers. In 2008, after the government waived off farm loans, tractor volume grew at an annualized rate of 21% for the next three years. In addition to the profitable loan waver for tractor and farm equipment market, average monsoon, higher sowing acreage, and moderate minimum support prices for various crops are likely to support farm income further.
