Digital Media: New Learners of the 21st Century addresses this vital question, taking viewers to the frontlines of what is rapidly becoming an education revolution. The film, targeted at parents, teachers, and anyone concerned about education in America, explores how exceptional educators are increasingly using digital media and interactive practices to ignite their students' curiosity and ingenuity, help them become civically engaged, allow them to collaborate with peers worldwide, and empower them to direct their own learning.
This is a great example of how you can use Voicethread and Wordle to create a simple project on the topic of digital citizenship. I think the student and teacher could dig a lot deeper, but I really like the concept. This is perfect for NY CL.
CoSN PDF's on uses of Web 2.0 for various school constituents. The resources are clear and easy to understand. In addition, there is a toolkit for administrators and other material that supports technology integration and use at school and home.
Online video library with student produced videos that are all under 5 minutes.
Students can produce and submit multimedia presentations to Next Vista and if they are accepted, they would be featured on the site.

I found this resource and thought I should share it because it is a free resource for NYS educators. You can test drive the site before joining. It is a collection of video tutorials and lessons by teachers that cover Pre-k - high school curricula that also allows you to organize and share resources.
