Two schools TMS has worked with were profiled by the Teaching Channel in this video that unpacks the Common Core Standards for elementary schools. Funny that they mention "technology" being integrated throughout the standards, but their example is of teachers watching videos of each other. I happen to know that both schools are doing much more sophisticated work that blends digital media into students' ELA and Math units, but it's not yet on the radar of CCSS evaluators (at least at the time this video was made).

My new favorite video! I have imbedded this video in all the Google sites I have created for my schools. Bravo to Pat Kyle, a teacher in Washington, DC.

We need to try this from within the DOE proxy and find out if we can copy URLs of youtube videos from a Google search index and paste them into here to download. That would be nice.
Yeah -- I tried both of these options and can't get them to work. The proxy still picks up the words "youtube" in the URL and blocks it "Reason: The Websense category "Youtube and video Google" is filtered.". So they'll still need to download from home.

Excellent video from teachers and admin working in virtual schools. This could be a very good resource to show participants interested in learning more about blended modes of learning.
