"Digital badges are a 21st century credential. Why, in today's hyperlinked, online world, would we depend on an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper to carry all the significance of our learning? We've self-reported experience and KSAs for years on paper resumes; 21st century resumes need to be hyperlinked and connected, too.

They promote excellence and growth in workforce education and teach basic skills They give the workforce a place to connect with each other, learn new skills together, and teach new policies. They want to direct the future in a positive way through workforce education and economic development. They provide the workforce with a national yearly conference, resources, and newsletters to stay updated on current issues and changes. They develop partnerships to support workforce development initiatives and have started many projects in the last 10 years.

Katie Cooper: This is a compilation of virtual lesson plans for ESL instructors to use and/or adapt into their own classroom curriculums. The originating schools and programs provided the materials for use for free and users are expected to abide by copyright law and shouldn't be sold or published. There are a variety of subjects covered in these available materials, such as: citizenship 101, technology and teaching, links to literature, participatory learning in ESL Civics, and living in America, etc.

Derek Griffing: The Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT) is part of the Postsecondary College System in the state of Alabama. The mission of AIDT is to provide workforce development for the industrial job sector as well as to expand job opportunities for the state's citizens in industry. Training and program assistance is provided to companies in an effort to find "quality" people in conjunction with properly training these individuals for workplace success in an industrial setting. The key to success and assistance is for a company to agree to create jobs for the state of Alabama. Each training program is organically developed and suited to the specific company. The partnership and program development are free of charge; dedication and company involvement is required.
