Record up to five messages (60 seconds total recording time) and set the clock to play back messages at pre-set times. Each message can be assigned two playback times. For example, record "Time to take your medication." and set the clock to play the message at 7 a.m. and again at 6 p.m. If the message catches you off guard and you're not sure what it said, just press the "replay" button within one minute to repeat the last message. Change messages or play time anytime you want.

The Spangler Effect at Steve Spangler Science - 4 views

  •
The Spangler Effect is a new YouTube channel from Steve Spangler Science. Unlike his popular Sick Science videos which are no more than short demonstrations of science experiments students and parents can do at home, The Spangler Effect videos offer longer (15 minutes or so) explanations of science experiments. The Spangler Effect videos explain the science of do-it-yourself experiments and how you can recreate those experiments at home or in your classroom.

AT of the Week - DaveBanesAccess - 6 views

"AT of the Week is a simple idea.  Each week I'll try to hunt around the web and find a free or open source assistive technology solution.  If I can host it, I'll store it and provide a link to it on this page.  Sometimes that will link to third party sites where you can safely download the solution from."

Welcome To NATE! - N.A.T.E. Network Site - 1 views

  • NATE -- the National Assistive Technology in Education Network -- brings together information from the many fields and disciplines that are involved in assistive technology services in educational settings. We provide that information in a cohesive, integrated manner, so that people from all disciplines can access it. We promote and encourage increased collaboration between people from different disciplines at the local team level and at the larger regional and national levels. Look for NATE meetings at national AT conferences:

PART ONE: A Detailed Look at the Paraprofessional Job-Embedded Curriculum, and a GIVEAW... - 6 views

  • My last post introduced you to this valuable curriculum resource. As I said in that post, the timing of taking a closer look at paraprofessional staff development is purposeful at this point of the year. When reviewing IEPs and writing new ones for next year, we look forward to how students will be supported within general education successfully. Paraprofessionals are a piece of that puzzle that cannot and should not be overlooked or under-acknowledged. I do not believe everyone needs a paraprofessional to be successful in general education classrooms and settings, but when individual needs warrant it, then those paraprofessionals must be trained to do their jobs well.
