10 Years of Teaching: How Do I Keep My School Administration Happy? - 1 views

  •
Great acts to encourage the health of the school community. These could easily apply to other instructors in addition to the administration. The joke is that the secretaries run the school. Get to know the people you work with because they could be the ones that provide help for you in the future.

8 ways to think about tech in ways that actually improve the classroom. Bringing technology into the classroom often winds up an awkward mash-up between the laws of Murphy and Moore: What can go wrong, will - only faster. It's a multi-headed challenge: Teachers need to connect with classrooms filled with distinct individuals.

What should we do with the quiet kids? A conversation with Susan Cain on the future of classroom education. Susan Cain sticks up for the introverts of the world. In the U.S, where one third to one half the population identifies as introverts, that means sticking up for a lot of people.

Poor Violin Tutorial - 0 views

  •
The point of this video is to teach the viewer how to play the chorus of "Call Me Maybe," but the person who made the video does a terrible job. He plays with very poor technique, and his explanation of how to play the song is confusing. When naming the notes used in the song, he continually says the wrong note names, and he even names the violin strings incorrectly. To top it off, when he actually plays the chorus, he plays entirely wrong notes.

How to Tune a Violin - 0 views

  •
She correctly explains how to tune a violin, but the video is extremely lengthy and she has a tendency to over-explain. In my opinion, a 15 minute video is not required to teach someone how to tune a violin. Also, the poor audio quality is somewhat annoying.

Violin Bow Hold Tutorial - 0 views

  •
His explanation of bow hold is clear and he uses analogies that are very appropriate for young violinists to help them understand the shape of the hand. I also like that he teaches bow hold on a pencil and emphasizes that the hand should feel relaxed and natural.
