Tones and Slaps for Djembe - 0 views

  •
This "tutorial" was actually the unedited taping of a class instructing djembe students how to play slaps and tones on djembes. The information is great, and of excellent quality. However, the video needs some major editing and the instructor is very hard to hear.

The tutorial was well done with good practice tips, and moved along at a decent pace. The one thing that I didn't like was that there was no talk about color or dynamics while playing and practicing.

New Head for a Djembe - 0 views

This tutorial is ok, there are some steps hat he has overdone (and made much harder than they need to be) but for the most part this is a good idea of what is involved.

Long, rather stagnate, and above all offers too many ways to oil the valves.

Playing the Djembe for Beginners - 0 views

  •
The information provided is OK and the overall set up is alright for keeping the performer anonymous. However, it takes way too long to make a point and the person demonstrating is obviously a beginner. I would use this in my class to have the student critique the person but not to learn from it. (this would be a betweener...it is ok info/set up but poor demonstration)

Violin Tutorial - 0 views

  •
The point of her video is to show people how to play a zelda song on the violin. The information she gives isn't bad, but she talks for WAY too long at the beginning, over explains things, and takes a lot of time. I like that she wanted to demonstrate the song for different ability levels, but she should probably make separate videos.

How to Tune a Violin - 0 views

  •
She correctly explains how to tune a violin, but the video is extremely lengthy and she has a tendency to over-explain. In my opinion, a 15 minute video is not required to teach someone how to tune a violin. Also, the poor audio quality is somewhat annoying.
