As Foursquare's 10 million members check into locations in cities around the world, much of that location data can be accessed in unique and fascinating ways, thanks to the service's ever-improving API.

Our access to the 'virtual universe' is ever-increasing and soon the continuum will be extended beyond its current boundaries, on a multidimensional basis. The Virtuality Continuum concept was devised to clarify the various combinations of mixed environments, representing the different states of Mixed Reality as seen in the image below.
