Time to be Frank » My Thanksgiving Message Image representing Comcast as depicted in Crun... Image by via CrunchBase An Excellent Message ! Frank Eliason [Comcast Cares] My Thanksgiving Message November 27, 2008 Today is a day we all look back at the past year to say thank you for what the last year has brought us. Seems to be a little cliche, especially this year with the financial condition of the world. I am sure many people are having a leaner thanksgiving due to economic conditions. I think of these individuals every day. So I ask when you are saying your thanksgiving prayers please think of those that are less fortunate. If you are not religious, just some kind thoughts for others. We know that they will be back on their feet.

The coolest thing about DirecTV (Scripting News) - 0 views

  • The coolest thing about DirecTV Saturday, July 26, 2008 by Dave Winer. At first it was a little unsettling getting used to a new way of watching TV, but I'm beginning to like the way DirecTV works. The coolest feature so far is the ability to program the DVR over the web. I don't know if Comcast has this, I never found it (if it does), but it works really intuitively on DirecTV.   Here's a screen shot (click for a larger version):

Not every customer service person is perfect but neither am I !  Real simple they will eventually get it done or join Custer

Zemanta !Back in February 2008 Business Week had a story by Jeff Jarvis called "Love the Customers Who Hate You." I loved the overall theme of the article. At the time I just started in my position as the manager of digital care. I saw the great potential to turn detractors into evangelist, but more importantly I recognized that we can learn a lot from these Customers and make the feedback actionable. This article was the first to enlighten me that my new role was truly the convergence of PR, marketing and Customer Service.

Time to be Frank » For Sale: Customer Activism in a Web 2.0 Era - 0 views

For Sale: Customer Activism in a Web 2.0 Era November 17, 2008 I am a firm believer that Customer Service and public discussions on the web will be an alternate channel similar to phone, email, or chat. At the same time I was not surprised to learn that the Consumerist on Friday announced that their parent company, Gawker Media, was putting the web property up for sale. Recently Get Satisfaction started a pay program to provide more control to companies. Will websites such as these ever be a profitable place? Are they even needed with all the blogs and other website out there?

Time to be Frank » The Holiday Spirit Excellent Holiday Thoughts ! from Frank Eliason "I realized this weekend that we sometimes forget the meaning of this time of year. I do not mean the religious connotation that comes from Christmas or Hanukkah. I mean the giving spirit and togetherness before the winterfest really takes place. Most people in the winter spend more time in the house and not as much visiting family and loved ones. From November to December this is really about family and friends. Unfortunately when I was driving on Friday and I heard a few news reports that certainly did not have this meaning. Most of you have heard of both of the incidents by now: The trampling to death of an employee at WalMart and the shooting at Toys R Us. Have we truly lost sight of what this time of year is about?"
