Frank Eliason [Comcast Cares] My Thanksgiving Message November 27, 2008 Today is a day we all look back at the past year to say thank you for what the last year has brought us. Seems to be a little cliche, especially this year with the financial condition of the world. I am sure many people are having a leaner thanksgiving due to economic conditions. I think of these individuals every day. So I ask when you are saying your thanksgiving prayers please think of those that are less fortunate. If you are not religious, just some kind thoughts for others. We know that they will be back on their feet.

    Zemanta !Back in February 2008 Business Week had a story by Jeff Jarvis called "Love the Customers Who Hate You." I loved the overall theme of the article. At the time I just started in my position as the manager of digital care. I saw the great potential to turn detractors into evangelist, but more importantly I recognized that we can learn a lot from these Customers and make the feedback actionable. This article was the first to enlighten me that my new role was truly the convergence of PR, marketing and Customer Service.

    This morning I recieved a call from 302 336 7401 Twice ! My Cell Phone Provider is AT&T ! The call was an advertisement for another provider it was a JUNK Call ! I decided to call AT&T and report the number ! Now -the call to their Tacky Tech Support I timed it ! Total time 20 minutes ! The first five minutes were in their Voice Activated Voice Mail Jail ! Finally a rep got on the phone and we played 20 questions ! Result no result ! He did say Friday and Monday were their busy days ! Do I care no! Now If I had a I Phone and was using it for business I might be angry ! I don't have an I Phone so as a member for the Unwashed I just didn't get first class service just the Party Line !

    Time to be Frank » So Much to Say So Little Time So Much to Say So Little Time December 7, 2008 I have had 3 posts I having been trying to get the time to put together, but it just seems to be tough finding the time to do it right. I want to write about the automotive requests for bailout. Sorry @ScottMonty, but I think bankruptcy is probably the only answer, especially for GM. I also wanted to post a cool presentation on engagement in social media. Of course that is an easy one to embed, I just have not gotten around to it. So I apologize for being so busy. Today's post is really just a random vent. Partially due to changes in society and the way sometimes people over react. Now before I vent about what occured I want to say that I actually love the day care that we take Robyn and Lily too. They are Children of America. In the past we used Malvern School which we really found to be horrible. After investigating numerous options we did come to the realization that Children of America was the right choice. Even after today I still firmly believe that. We also like everyone of the teachers, including the one that this post is about. The director of the center is phenomenal, which is not a compliment I would pay to many people. She is a strong leader and a Customer advocate. I do not mean the religious connotation that comes from Christmas or Hanukkah. I mean the giving spirit and togetherness before the winterfest really takes place. Most people in the winter spend more time in the house and not as much visiting family and loved ones. From November to December this is really about family and friends. Unfortunately when I was driving on Friday and I heard a few news reports that certainly did not have this meaning. Most of you have heard of both of the incidents by now: The trampling to death of an employee at WalMart and the shooting at Toys R Us. Have we truly lost sight of what this time of year is about?"
