The report detonated controversy that risked damaging the push to quickly pass the bill and threatened the viability of the complex process envisioned for eventually constructing a replacement system. "The headlines are terrible," said one senior GOP source involved in the health care process, describing the Congressional Budget Office's conclusions.

I personally believe that the mask mandate should not have been lifted. Yes, some people are vaccinated but there are not enough people vaccinated for herd immunity to work well. I also believe that she should have just waited to lift the mask mandate. We have gone through this whole school year wearing masks and for that to change overnight is just confusing to understand. She should have just waited until schools got out for summer and then lifted it if she really wanted to.

I think the maks mandate should have been kept for a little longer, at least until more people are vaccinated

Is this the time or should we still keep the mandate and restrictions up until after the pandemic has officially ended? (Vaccines are done and no new cases.)

I think its good that the mandate is lifted.

I think its fine they lift it as long people keep getting vaccinated, but they should definitely keep the mandate in hospitals and places like that.
Should the U.S. lock down again to stop the coronavirus? | AllSides - 29 views

I feel like we can't go on a full lockdown. This will make the economy even worse than it currently is.

I don't think we should go into lockdown again but if people keep lifting up their masks, we're probably gonna have to go into lockdown again.

I feel that the issue is passed on now and we no longer need the lockdown or quarantine. Most people have already passed this issue on in their heads.

I see these types of things in the new and I don't understand why they keep oping more places that don't really follow health proto call. If you pass by restaurants you can see there are people sitting outside so close to each other. I also think inspectors should let business know what are to Porto calls because there are some places where they had no idea what is the rule.

Why Wal-Mart workers are striking on Black Friday - 0 views

"Jeff Landry, an employee in Sapulpa, Okla., plans to join the protest. He works from 4 to 9 p.m. after attending school all day. When he was scheduled for a shift during class, Landry complained. He says his managers responded by cutting his hours from 40 to below 30 a week. This meant that Landry was no longer eligible for health care, since Wal-Mart requires workers to work an average of 30 hours per week to get benefits. "They tried all these tactics to get rid of me," he said."

protesting is legal only if its non-violent so I think the had a right to go on strike.

Gay parents battle 'the Iowa anomaly' - 0 views

"In Iowa, gay couples have been able to get legally married since 2009, when the state's supreme court upheld a lower court ruling striking down a gay marriage ban. But the Iowa Department of Public Health has refused to grant birth certificates that list both spouses in a gay marriage as the legal parents of newborn children. That decision has left families in legal limbo, and it led to a lawsuit that has thrust the gay rights debate right back to the state's supreme court." I'm interested in hearing what the Iowa Supreme Court says about this. I also wonder how the three new justices will vote. This is the first major issue concerning gay marriage after three Iowa Supreme Court Justices lost their positions in 2010 and were replaced.

I think it is good that Giffords is pushing for gun control because I believe that we need it.

I agree with you, Grayson. The government should make people own a gun safe to store all of their weapons. It is dangerous for guns to be located somewhere where anyone can get their hands on them. Despite that fact, the second amendment gives you the right to own weapons. Although there have been many gun crimes in the United States, lately, you cannot take away that right. Just because some people handle weapons irresponsibly, all people should not be punished for it.

i do like my guns and i dont want the government telling me i cant have them. taking guns away wont stop murders it will just make them happen in a different way
Closer to 30 killed in school shooting - 1 views

I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous. We are talking about the preamble in government and what our nation should do to form a more perfect union, but yet some stranger for no parent reason goes and shoots little kids at a ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. What a perfect union we have.

This is very tragic to hear and many people are dealing with the losses of the children or relatives. Sometimes it make me wonder why we have an amendment the right to bear arms if things like this are happening. These were innocent kids with a bright future ahead. It was very devastating for everyone around the U.S to know things like this are happening in our society.
