I disagree that video games make people violent. A perfectly mentally stable person is not gonna play one round of GTA and go steal a car or go on a killing spree. I do think people of a younger age should have limited access to violent video games. My perspective of this is that GTA 5 was released over 8 years ago and that was just the most recent game to come out. The original GTA came out in 1997. I know that it's not limited to GTA and GTA has released newer content but still, this game has been out for many years, and instead of wasting time and money to try and ban videos games they could use those resources to try and prevent crimes such as making public resources available to troubled kid´s such as academic and job opportunities. Maybe even making a youth center that kids can come to and hang out so they have something to do besides steal cars. I know that won´t stop youthful people from committing these crimes completely but I feel it would have a substantial impact instead of banning violent video games which will just be accessible through illegal online downloads certainly creating more opportunity for youth to comment crimes by illegally obtaining these games.
