The project is "similar to Andrew Keen's complaints of Wikipedia as being an unreasonable request upon internet society to create cultural foundations (encyclopedias, art media, etc) without compensation, thus devaluing production."[4]
Keen's complaint is important. But I don't think the Wikipedia Art project is similar at all to Keen's complaint. The project, itself - I think - is a PR vehicle for two artists.

A tremendous source for early and contemporary film, sound and written word. The focus is on avant-garde work from several different generations. You can find films by Yoko Ono, audio by William Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg as well as the entire contents of each issue of Aspen Magazine here.
Some posts have been removed recently that were links to group members' blogs or websites or personal work of some sort. There's nothing essentially wrong with self promotion. But, instead of filling up the Art.In.General's bookmarks with links to your site and your work, please use this thread only for any self promotion.
If you maintain a blog that references art and design related sites, please post a link directly to that related site instead of a link to your blog post which links to the site. It's best to provide direct links to information instead of secondary links.
