Aquest document del Centre d'Estudis i Prospectiva del Ministeri d'Agricultura de França parteix de Estratègia nacional de baixes emissions de carboni (SNBC), publicada pel Govern francès el novembre de 2015 a fi de de complir els compromisos de reducció de gasos amb efecte d'hivernacle a l'horitzó 2030-2050 i orientar l'economia francesa vers una menor dependència del carboni fòssil mitjançant l'elaboració d'escenaris de prospectiva dels principals sectors econòmics (energia, habitatge, transport, agricultura, forestal, etc.). L'objectiu del document és oferir un resum del component agrícola d'aquesta visió anticipada. Mostra les hipòtesis i els resultats obtinguts per a dos escenaris: un escenari de "tendència", que es defineix en termes de les polítiques existents a 1 de gener de 2014; i un escenari "de referència", tenint en compte les noves mesures adoptades des de l'1 de gener de 2014 amb el supòsit d'una transició cap a l'agroecologia que condueixi a una reducció de les emissions directes i indirectes de l'agricultura
