The saying, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" is a saying that I have been hearing since I was little. There are many times when I am given something in life, and I may complain about the timing, or the inconvenience, or other little things. My mother always tells me to be grateful for my blessing, and make a positive out of it, so when life gives me lemons, I make lemonade. I no longer complain about or disregard it, but make use of whatever I've been given, and am positive about it.
I think that this seems like a pretty cool project, and something that the students will enjoy. Your links that you provide seem interesting, and I like the media that you use. Your introduction was attention grabbing and visually appealing. I'm interested in seeing the whole thing put together, because I think that it will turn out great.
I think that your webquest looks good, and it seems like it will be a fun assignment! I think that it will definitely make them think, and they will have a lot of fun with sketchup, while still learning about cartography, which will be interesting and informational for them. There is no rubric or conclusion. The webquest does not include interaction between others, but you could easily incorporate that somehow. A couple of mistakes that I saw with the editing were that on the "Construction" page, it still says "Click here to edit me" as the heading. And on #7 of part 2 on the "Construction" page it says "on 5-7 ON your landmarks", and I think you meant to put "OF your landmarks".
