Way back in the day, when I was a student, I remember drawing out my timelines with colored pencils on pieces of taped together construction paper (to make the line long enough). We've come a long way since the late '80′s, and there are a lot of web tools and apps out there that help users make much more advanced timelines than I could crank out with my awesome colored pencils. Whether you're using them to chronicle well known historical events, or your own personal history, these tools can bring together audio, video, photos, text, and more to showcase a well rounded, multimedia timeline to tell your story. Time Toast timetoast Time Toast also offers uses free, unlimited timelines and easy Facebook integration. The interface is extremely simple - just click 'add an event', and you can add text, links, or photos. While it doesn't offer some of the audio/video options that some of the other products we mention in this post do, it offers a lot more simplicity. Lots of backchannel capabilities are emerging as many educators and event planners see the value of providing, managing and leading in the backchannel chats that WILL and DO occur whether you wish they did or not. 

Yacapaca is a great web tool for educators. It allows teachers to have access to a plethora of already made quizes. They can also make their own using the provided tools there. I have just discovered this awesome website today and I think it is really worth reviewing here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning. Yacapaca is absolutely free and does not require any software download or installation. You just need to register with them using your email address. As you head over to Yacapaca main page you will find two big buttons one says ' I am a teacher' and the other ' I am a student'. for students to log in they need an access key from their teachers. Once logged in you can choose your country ( it does not support all countries ) and a list of categories will be displayed. Making referencing real Do you know how to reference the resources you use in a research project? When you do any kind of research you will be getting information from a lot of different places. As well as Internet sites you may use, books, magazines, videos, interviews, newspapers etc. The task you are given and the kind of information you require will determine which resources you use. It is very important to record the places that you got your information from in a bibliography or reference list. In fact you should start making your reference list right at the start of your project and record every source of information you use. Even if you only get a couple of ideas and don't quote anything you still need to acknowledge the source of information.
