They love cartoons and comics and are much more inclined to learn via dialogues and interactive  play roles. Teachers can use Witty Comics to create dialogues underlining the target structures they want to teach  and let students act them out. Students can on their part use Witty Comics to create thier own  dialogues and rehearse them in front of their peers. Witty Comics is a good tool to foster students communicative skills and enhance their creative powers. Witty Comics is free of charge and is very easy to use. It has a simple platform that any one can handle , the only thing you need to do is to register with them and start making comics straight away. Pre-drawn background scenes and characters are already provided and students will only select the ones they want to feature in their comics.   You might also like: 8 Reasons Why you should Create A Blog for your Class 10 Must Have Resources to Teach about Copyright and Fair Use Snip.ly :Snip and Share Your Favorite Parts of Webpages A Great List of 70+ iPad Apps for Teachers and Students LinkWithin

AR SPOT: An Augmented-Reality Programming Environment for Children | Augmented Environm... - 0 views

  •
AR SPOT is an augmented-reality authoring environment for children. An extension of MIT's Scratch project, this environment allows children to create experiences that mix real and virtual elements. Children can display virtual objects on a real-world scene observed through a video camera, and they can control the virtual world through interactions between physical objects. This project aims to expand the range of creative experiences for young authors, by presenting AR technology in ways appropriate for this audience. In this process, we investigate how young children conceptualize augmented reality experiences, and shape the authoring environment according to this knowledge.

ICT | Podcasting | Teachers TV - 0 views

"Laptop and microphone Joe Dale is an independent consultant working with CILT, Links into Languages, The British Council and the BBC. He is host of the TES MFL forum, former SSAT Languages Lead Practitioner and is a regular conference speaker. Joe has been podcasting since 2006, you can read more in his blog Integrating ICT into the MFL classroom. Creating and listening to podcasts offers many learning opportunities for pupils both in and out of the classroom. The cyclical process promotes speaking, listening and writing skills and can improve pronunciation, confidence and engagement. Scripting, recording and editing caters to a range of learning styles, facilitates peer assessment, pupil voice and collaborative project-based learning. Pupils are able to access higher order thinking skills, foster creativity, revise lesson content and deepen their understanding as a result. Podcasting also allows pupils to publish professional sounding audio inexpensively to a real audience, giving them a sense of ownership and a more relevant and meaningful purpose to their work. Showcasing pupils' work in this way can forge links with the wider community and celebrate achievement too. Downloading podcasts on to a computer or mobile device lets learners review their learning at their own pace at a time which suits them wherever they may be and as many times as they want. Providing a transcript makes the content even more accessible and enables further personalised and distance learning to take place."
