This video is in response to Emily's post regarding Katy Perry and the back lash she faces after agreeing to do a pepsi commercial. I absolutly loved this commerical with Beyonce, Pink and Britney but hate pepsi therefore I was in no way encouraged to buy. The point I am trying to make is that the consumer groups in Emilys article seem to disrigard the fact that some people enjoy seeing there favourite artist anywhere and when an awesome video (in my opinon) like this is made I would not want to see it cancelled purely beacuse some people think Pepsi is bad for you. Surely having fun watching you three favourite singers is good for you?

This commercial is very intriguing because it reminds me of the old Pepsi commercials Britney Spears did back in the early 2000s. I wasn't as sucked into this one as I used to be by the old ones; it could be because I LOVED Britney Spears growing up, but I like Beyonce and still preferred the old commercials over this one. I'll post an old Pepsi commercial with just Britney Spears in it. Interesting find! :)

This is one of P!nks early video. She's singing about wanting 'real love', which is very different to her more recent music. Her image here is more mainstream and it appears her 'real' image was not presented until she became more popular in the industry. This could perhaps be compared to Miley Cyrus' recent transformation however P!nk was arguably less shocking and more mature.

I love this song, this is when I feel Lilly Allen was at her prom dress and nike airmax wearing best. Lilly Allen used to sing about her real personal experiences such as 'my little brothers in his bedroom smokin weed!'. I feel she was always a very authentic artists however I feel in recent years she has lost some of that authenticity my distancing herself from that side of her past and singing about more mainstream things such as love which she does when featuring in Pinks recent song 'True Love'.

I watched a video that someone else posted of the Pepsi commercial with Beyonce, Pink, and Britney Spears, and I thought it would be fun to post an older commercial that Britney did for comparison. I remembered that she did a variety of advertisements for them, but here's one of the first ones I found on Youtube.

What was the point in bringing Adele into her body issues? I understand that the press are going to ask her about her weight, but i dont see why she should have to compare her body to that of someone elses to justify her weight gain.

What she says makes me angry, I think the reason no one comments on Adeles weight the same as Lady Gaga is because Adele doesn't pose in her underwear so people can see how thin she is and hope they chage their view of her. Adele always says she is who she is love it or hate it which I personally really admire. I saw an interview of Adele where she said her weight and the way she looked was irrelavant to her music and shes not interested in people liking her; its all about the music for Adele. Instead of comparing herself in terms of weight maybe Gaga could compare authenticity and talent which is surely more important.

This is an image, since I couldn't find a video of this, but I think it works anyways.  When we were talking in class about how Same Love portrays gay people in the wrong light, it made me think of this scene in Modern Family.
