Classroom Management - 0 views

  •
Hi everyone! Yesterday we saw in class "Classroom Management" and we discussed about this topic, so I have considered relevant to look for some useful information about it. I like this page, which is a chapter of a book, because I have found very interesting its layout. Throughout the chapter the author makes us reflect on different aspects, such as: some common types of student grouping in the classroom, how we can get more student-student interaction, etc. Then, he/she comments possible options for cover these aspects. I hope you find it useful!

Teaching and learning in the language classroom - 1 views

  •
Hi guys! I dont know if you have used this book earlier in your education. This is a book that we used a lot at my University in Sweden and it deals with how we can improve as language teachers, why we should focus on different tasks, how learners learn etc. I think it is a very good and useful book for us future teachers. I do, however, have no idea where you buy books from here in Spain. My google only showed me swedish and english webpages, so I linked it to Amazon.com, but I am sure that you can find it in any spanish bookshop/ webshop as well:)

Assesing and Evaluating Student Learning - 1 views

  •
Hi everyone! I just found useful information about Assesment and what are the characteristics that we need to take into account when we are assesing. It´s very important to differenciate assesing from Evaluating, but, when we asses teachers must know that there are plenty of ways that we can help our students in their process of learning. In my opinion Assesment helps students to gain autonomy in their process of learning and also they can be aware of the many ways they can contribute in a class and also they many ways they can learn. Quantity and qualiy are essential in the assesment process. Assesment must focuss to develop higher order thinking skills so that students can be able to create and think in a profound way about htei learning objetives. Hope you like this page :)

Let's sing! - 1 views

  •
I've always thought that singing is a very effective way to improve learners' pronunciation and to make them learn new vocabulary. They learn as the same time they have fun! I've chosen this song because it's very lively!
  •
I agree with you and because of that I use this website: http://www.lyricstraining.com/ This page will make you easy to understand lyrics of songs and at the same time you are practicing your listening skill. There's a great variety of music that is on the radio nowadays. Other advantage is that you can choose your level of difficulty depending on your understanding.

Hi Marta! Thank you very much for sharing this page with us, I believe that through the flashcards can perform different activities that multiple intelligences' develop. Also, flashcards are a useful and effective resource for children of any age, offering attractive ways to present, practice and recycle vocabulary. Furthermore, this is generally a cheap alternative and one of the great things about flashcards is that they are fun, because children don't think they are working, an important factor of successful learning. Thank you again!

Hi all! As we know, it is very important to keep in mind what goals we are trying to achieve with each activity. Similarly, it is essential to ensure that our students develop more complex cognitive processes as we advance in a topic. Bloom's taxonomy helps us to plan activities according to the level of complexity that we want to achieve. Here I leave a link with more information about Bloom's taxonomy. I hope to serve you for future practices.

Assessment of, for and as Learning - 3 views

  •
Hi all! I found this power point on the internet. It seems to me very interesting summary which highlight the differences in the types of assessment. It also adds the benefits of using each type of assessment (for both the student and the teacher) and the teacher's role. Distinguishes three types of assessment: Assessment of, for and as Learning. In my view, all three are needed in school because of all learning is derived.
