This site is a springboard that librarians, students, and researchers can use to find information in the area of communication studies. It is not exhaustive, rather it includes the core or primary resources within each category presented. The resources included within this site were selected by communication studies librarians serving as members of the Association of College and Research Libraries Educational and Behavioral Sciences Section Communication Studies Committee.

The goal of TalkBank is to foster fundamental research in the study of human and animal communication. It will construct sample databases within each of the subfields studying communication. It will use these databases to advance the development of standards and tools for creating, sharing, searching, and commenting upon primary materials via networked computers.

The Thomas Gray Archive is a long-term research project dedicated to studying the life and work of eighteenth-century poet Thomas Gray (1716-1771). The Archive, hosted by the Bodleian Library, Oxford, strives to preserve and to make accessible a comprehensive corpus of high-quality, electronic primary sources and secondary materials. By using open, interoperable standards and formats widely used in the digital humanities, the Archive offers a structured platform for scholarly communication and collaboration and is developing as a living forum with the discussions, annotations, and contributions shared by the scholarly community. The Thomas Gray Archive is a freely accessible, educational resource solely intended for teaching, research, and study.

RECSO is the University of Oxford's online community for Romanticism and Eighteenth-Century Studies. Hosted by the English Faculty, our purpose is to provide a central forum for graduates and researchers from all departments to engage with the latest in the long eighteenth century. With information on seminars, Bodleian collections, academic contacts and postgraduate projects, we hope to improve access to the range of events and expertise on offer at Oxford, and to promote collaborative networks and interdisciplinary study.

Celebrating and documenting the creativity of Asian, Black, Latina, and Native women, VG is one of the internet's most comprehensive and well-respected academic databases for women artists of color. We provide innovative teaching and research tools for accessing a global community of women writers of color living and dead, obscure and renowned. The site reaches backward and forward to place readers, thinkers, students, and educators on a bridge which connects the gaps that exist in literature, society, and culture. Through our student-generated profiles, essays, reviews, and interviews, you can engage with artists whose works put faces on difficult and important issues ranging from immigration to racial prejudice, gendered violence to community resistance.

The purpose of this site is to provide innovative, responsible and reliable knowledge in a variety of domains relevant to semiotics understood as the multidisciplinary study of information, meaning, communication, interpretation, sign systems and evolution, texts, interactions, organizations, cultural and social transformations, sense-making and all other topics that may emerge from future research, models and theories.

is a collaborative undertaking, involving participants from universities in Canada, the United States, England, and Australia. It is writing the first full scholarly history of women's writing in the British Isles. At the same time, it is conducting an experiment in humanities computing and providing both training and scholarly community for graduate students. The project will provide an overarching account of women's writing across the centuries. This will appear in the form of four individually authored volumes of history together with an extensive, collaboratively authored, electronic textbase
