      I KNOW! It is so overwhelming at times. I just keep telling myself "it's all going to be worth it!" It is extremely comforting, however, to hear the experts in the field and those who have been doing this for a long time saying that they felt the same way when they first began.

      I'm a little jealous :-) I don't have internet on my phone, so I have to wait to be home to do any work at all. It must be nice to always have the option of connecting!

      This has proved to be one of the more difficult portions of this course. It takes me hours to create a quality post, but I do learn a lot in the process.

      it is teaching presence not teacher presence. there is a big difference. : )

So here's a chance to see how accurate it really is. But there are parts of the site that really do bug me. I tried to speak distinctly. I didn't want to make it harder for the system than it needed to be. Still, Google didn't recognize Google! The end of the message reads as if it was just made up! An earlier message from an auto body shop was even more garbled--though the all-important phone number made it through intact. Obviously, this is quite an achievement, but is it useful if it's only close? Advisedly--yes.

  • Search giant Google has been working on Internet expansion technologies for at least a few years and its latest project could involve spending $1 billion on 180 satellites, according to the Wall Street Journal. Just like the balloons in Google's Project Loon, the satellites would be used to extend Internet access to large groups of people in remote areas
  • Since Project Loon was first revealed and subsequently rolled out in a test run over New Zealand, many people have praised Google for its Internet expansion initiatives. The majority of people on earth do not have access to the Internet and with Project Loon ability to provide 3G-like speeds, people could at least get online for simple tasks if there is no ground-based Internet provider.
