Tried both versions(3.1.6.11 and 3.1.6.12). CPU usage goes to 100% and i have to kill firefox. Disabling the toolbar is the only solution as of now.
running firefox 3.0.5 on WinXP SP3

firefox addons site lists version 3.1.5.7 (
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2792
) maybe installing that can be a temporary solution.
