    1. Using Safari in Mac OS X

    2. for any page that has two or more tags, present Diigolet 3.1b541 then click Bookmark

    3. click in the Tags field, position the cursor at the tail of the penultimate tag

    4. use the key combination alt-shift-down

    Expected

    In this situation within Diigolet:

    * selection of both the ultimate tag, and the white space that precedes

    * cursor resting at the tail of the field.

    (Refer to Apple HIG for guidance on exact behaviour for that key combination.)

    Bugs

    A) Selection does not occur.

    B) Cursor does not move.

    C) A menu of tags drops down.

    D) Where the un-selected tag comprises multiple words, the menu presents tags based on the word furthest from the cursor, ignoring the first word within the tag.

    Observations

    (A) (B) and (C) are probably symptoms of a single bug caused by the Tags field of Diigolet failing to respect human interface guidelines.

    (D) is probably a separate bug, I'll seek a relevant topic.

    Environment

    * Diigolet 3.1b541
    * Safari, Mac OS X

    Postscript

    An essential correction to step (2): alt-shift-down (not alt-down).
