Android 5.0 Lollipop is finally out to establish itself on the market share radar. Lollipop was able to make 1.6 percent of Android devices its home reported from latest version of the Android Developers Dashboard. That percentage stands for all Android devices that were seen at the Google Play store during the week of February 2.

The LG G3 is the company flagship & naturally it is the 1st to get the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop treatment.The new firm ware update kicked off in Korea earlier this month followed by a plethora of countries through out Europe,Austria,the Baltics,Belgium,Croatia,Germany,Hungary,Italy,Portugal,Romania,Spain & the UK.Naturally the updates were made available to the unlocked devices 1st but those purchased through a carrier should be getting the Lollipop soon as well.

Android Lollipop is slowly but surely rolling out around the world but 1 report reckons Google is already planning to push Android 5.1 to our handsets in a matter of weeks.Android PIT says that 2 separate inside sources have confirmed that Google is readying 5.1 for early next year with the update said to be launching by the end of February.We have contacted Google to ask if this is true but the Android maker declined to comment
