The code produced by ImageShack Widget 1.1 is apparently less prone to misinterpretation.
Whilst the widget produces HTML that's cleaner, the HTML requires correction (see the leading -n at http://pastie.textmate.org/322384 ). Worse, the widget often fails to complete an upload, after which nothing other than a restart of the computer may restore that basic function.
