The colour of the highlight depends on whether it is:
* personal
- whilst other users may not normally see your personal highlights drawn on their view of the same page, the highlights become visible in (for example) the public view of your library http://www.diigo.com/user/Lamarck?tab=9
* copied (shared) to a group
* beneath a sticky note that is public
* beneath a sticky note that is private.
If a highlight is both (a) copied to a group and (b) beneath a note that is public, then you'll probably find that the pink (signifying groups) takes priority over the green (signifying a public sticky).
