The function to remove notations from a webpage does not work for me. There is an annoying note on the homepage of the Sydney Morning Herald (www.smh.com.au) and I have added this URL to my list of sites to hide annotations. The annotation initially disappeared, but each time I reboot and visit that site, there it is again.
I have the latest version of the Diigo toolbar installed in Firefox, and am running Mac OS 10.5.8
Here testing 4.1.0.3 with Firefox 3.5.3, Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 GTB6 I can not reproduce the problem. I quit from then relaunched Firefox, this Firefox no longer shows the public annotations.
If it helps to explain the behaviour: page/site-specific preferences stored in one Firefox profile may be not echoed to Firefox profiles on other computers. In other words, I suspect that the preference is local (not server-side).

Floating notes are normally disallowed at home pages but with a previous version 3.1.6.16 there seemed to be a bug, http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/959415
