I've been annotating a page and at some moment I have decided to remove a couple of sticky notes. While the sticky note is displayed there is no delete action available. Is this normal?

Restarting the computer? I must confess I haven't heard this advise in a while :-). I assume that clearing the caches and completely restarting the browser would be enough though.

A restart of the computer sometimes encourages the user to step away, make a nice cup of tea, take some time off and see a problem in a different light. I usually find solutions to computer problems at the kitchen sink :-)
AFAIR there was a similar topic a few weeks ago, but don't go looking for it.
Try clearing caches then restarting the computer.

Definitely I note I've added.
In fact this was something else I've noticed: on a page with quite a few annotations I don't see any when visiting the original URI: http://www.web2summit.com/web2009/public/schedule/detail/10194

At http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/problem-with-views-and-edition-of-list-after-using-my-bookmarks-to-add-ten-10-bookmarks-47214 I found that cache clearance etc. wasn't enough for a problem whilst working with my bookmarks and a Diigo list.

My Diigolet 3.1b538 view of http://www.web2summit.com/web2009/public/schedule/detail/10194 shows no comments. So I guess that, to date:
* most annotations are highlights
- they may be described as private, but they end up public as shown above
* there may be notes stuck to highlights, but none are public
* there may be page comments, but none are public.
