    = Suggestion =

Diigo should present the manager of a group with an option, something like:

    * moderate each new member's first group bookmarks, and first topics within the forum.

    = Intention =

Eradicate or minimise content that is contrary to a group's description.

    = Implementation =

No change to current group membership routines.

    1) Allow the manager the option to set a default flag - 'moderated' - for new members.

    2) Provide interfaces for manager and moderators to clear the 'moderated' flag. These interfaces might be offered:

    a) ideally: in the manager/moderators' UI to a topic, reply, bookmark and/or list of bookmarks

    b) obviously, but of less immediate use, in the group management UI.

    3) For content that is undesirable: provide an option (probably a one-click routine) for manager/moderators to reply with *standard* text that rejects the content, with reference to the description of the group.

    4) Provide an option for manager/moderators to *customise* the text of that reply, to suit their group.

    5) Alongside the one-click routine for rejection, (suggestions (3) and (4)), provide a one-click routine to mark a person as a 'spammer'

    - that should be much better than the current routine, which requires the person offended to visit the offender's page (concerning this, there is a topic elsewhere in the forum).

    6) Provide an option to set an equation between:

    i) number of rejections
    and
ii) cancellation of group membership, or ban from group.

IMHO a fair equation would be "three strikes and you're out".

    = Looking ahead =

Taking suggstion (6) one step further, Diigo might set an equation between:

    i) number of bans/cancellations
    and
ii) suspension of Diigo membership, or ban from Diigo.

    = Priorities =

IMHO suggestions (1) and (2) above are most desirable.

The other suggestions would be nice to have, but not essential.
