One of the most anticipated games for the iPhone/iPod Touch has to be Konami's Metal Gear Solid Touch. Konami released a handful of screenshots and some scarce information on the game last week. Today the company announced in Japan that Metal Gear Solid Touch will be available in the App Store on March 19 (both in the US and Japan).

Score another point for iPhone gaming: Konami has just released a full version of Metal Gear Solid Touch in the iTunes Store's app section for $7.99. This version adds eight additional levels.

Rumour has it Apple will open up the iPhone App Store to games costing around $19.99, but only for big name publishers, like GameLoft and EA. Such a price point would end up competing with Nintendo DS and lower-end PSP titles.
