Apple has gone out of their way to point out the cons of multi-tasking background applications - a claimed 80% reduction in battery life while on standby with a single 3rd party IM client enabled. Push Notification, likewise, has been promoted by Apple as providing a single point of coordination for 3rd party alerts routed through servers on Apple's end.

The folks at Skype, "don't yet know how our app will behave on the iPad," according to a post from the company's official blogger and "chief Twitterer," Peter Parkes. Mr. Parkes made the comments on Saturday, April 3rd, the day of the iPad's release.

I-Phones have become a vital part of our lives. Individuals use them to store a great amount of personal data, from private conversations to pictures, calendars and contacts, music, notes, health data and financial information. Downloading and saving a file to i-phone is very challenging job, but you can do this job easily by using Dropbox account or by using another 3rd party services.

Samsung makes top score in the list. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 got 86 points and Galaxy Note 3 is on 82 points. Apple iphones are on 3rd and 5th position in ths list. Iphone 6 Plus and iphone 6 got 82 points.

The T-Mobile G1 is showing up in the hands of those who pre-ordered one this week (mine is schedule for Tuesday arrival) and I have been seeing new applications appearing in the Android Market almost daily on my review unit. There are still a very limited number of games and I think only one or two were added since I started my review.

iPhone version 4.0 is official! It's got all the goodies, multi-tasking, background GPS, background audio streaming (Pandora), background VOIP calls and even iBooks (thanks iPad). Apple has announced the upgrade but won't make it available to all the iPhone 3GS/iPod Touch 3rd Gen users out there until sometime this summer. iPad will get the update in the Fall. Original iPhone and iPhone 3G users along with iPod Touch 1st/2nd Gen will get some features but not the multitasking (booooo). That's too bad for owners of older hardware but Apple has to cut them loose at some point to move forward.

Words fail me on how much I love this tablet. I will say I'm slightly Google-biased, as I've owned Android phones before they were cool (and since), I use all their services (including Google+. Yes, there are people on there), and Google sent me a FREE Chromebook to beta-test it a year or two ago. So, yeah, I'm a little biased... =) BUT, I've waited to buy a tablet. There's 2 iPads (both 3rd gen) in our house, and I do like them, they're worth the $500. However, it's not fun to just play with it. You need apps. Then, apps aren't really fun unless you get the paid version. Then, a $500 tablet becomes $50 dollars more, just to get some basic apps and games! Plus, it's cumbersome and weighty, so if you're playing a game, you'll be sitting it in your lap within 5 minutes.
