    * Teaching Channel is a great place for teachers to go to watch videos about common core standards or lessons from other teachers. It is free and it has so many things that are beneficial to teachers. You can bookmark different videos or lesson plans so that you can go back to them whenever you want to. You have a question and answer board so that you can ask questions to other teachers or answer questions that other teachers have asked. Lessoncast is something I have never heard of before, but seems very useful to teachers. It is an interactive site that teachers use to get and share ideas. It has a blog, and all kinds of lessoncasts that teachers can use. A lessoncast is a short video elaborating on new ideas for different lessons.

This website offers important information for teachers, parents, and students on internet safety. This site includes tutorials for parents on what to watch for when their child is using the internet, tips for teachers to share this information with students, and interactive videos for children to learn the importance of safety on the internet. This website is useful for teachers and students because you never know what kinds of things are lurking on the internet, and children should be informed on what types of things to allow and not allow.

I chose this website because I think it a good tool for students, and teachers to use. It provides a category for education that contains a variety of different websites and videos. This meets standard 6.4 by using it to find different ways to study. Also it has teaching strategies as well as web 2.0 for the classroom, and apps for education. All these things helps students and teachers improve on their educational practice.

Vyew is similar to a blogsite, but allows more interactions between users (students, parents, other teachers). Pretty much anything (images, videos, documents, etc.) can be uploaded and shared. Some other features include tutoring, webcam conferences, and students can work on group projects via this site. Vyew relates to standard 6.6 because it can be used to effectively communicate with students, parents, and other teachers.

This website includes a timeline of major American wars throughout history. It also provides the option to watch documentary-type videos of each particular conflict. It is a good source for instructors to use to freshen up particular aspects and details of each war, and even to show to their students!
