Obviously, for this forum the second method was chosen. Then, one could easily select a category to go into a what used to be sub-forums and at the same time one could easily find relevant posts.
Thanks for your feedback. Yes. Once our engineer makes a small change and allow the group manager to edit tag, I will switch this group forum to the tagging structure very soon. So that we will have great flexibility here.
And, of course, this is just the 1st phase of Diigo Group Forum implementation, as Diigo is continuing to evolve. So, stay tuned :-)
