College Plagiarism Reaches All- Time High - 3 views

  •
This is an interesting article about the increase of plagiarism in colleges and how that is a problem.

Plagiarism is tough to pinpoint. It is very obvious if you copy something word for word. Using someone's idea with the same tone and direction isn't the same as taking that idea and reforging it for your own purpose. That is what social media is today, recreating ideas and recycling them.
  •
I wonder how much more plagiarism will grow with technology, or if it will level out. Definitely an interesting article.
  •
This is why sites like turnitin.com should be utilized more because as more works are submitted over time, it becomes increasingly difficult to near impossible to plagiarize, especially for those who like to use their older siblings work on a different teacher.
  •
I feel like plagiarism and how to avoid it isn't exactly explained well. So some students may be plagiarizing and not even know it.
  •
Short article how plagiarism rates have went up in time. Most blame goes to the access of the modern internet

I thought this article was really interesting about this pornography company that files the most copyright lawsuits. It goes really in depth about how they found out about the people who were pirating their videos and why they decided to fill all these lawsuits. This article is also from the New Yorker so it has a lot of situated ethos behind the article.
