I find this article interesting as we briefly mentioned it in class Monday. Remix's are tricky as you either need the consent of other artists or that song, riff, etc. needs to be explicitly stated as music that can be reedited and remastered by the public. I love music and consistently find familiar phrases of music in current songs. But when it comes to music, their is always going to be familiarity as their is only so much you can put out their in the musical world, ideas are bound to be reused whether directly or indirectly

This official definition give by the U.S. Copyright Office helps clear the air about what was just discussed in class about the "Fair Use" idea. It seems to protect an authors expression of the content, not the overall idea or information.

A pretty well stated view on the misconceptions behind research in any setting. It is hard to be effective in your research because you have to reach out past your own boundaries of knowledge and remain true to your purpose.

A very effective site in informing us about the key points of a research paper and how to execute in properly. Covers a lot of the basic steps as well as some in depth keystones to look for in your own work.

These kinds of videos are very effective through the visual aspect. They show very lifelike recreations of a car accident. They are truly gruesome to watch but that is the point because that is what they really are. It is meant to scare.

A very effective billboard in terms of logos and pathos. Abortion is a touchy topic whether you are pro life or not. This affects us all emotionally. The text appeals to our moral reasoning and supports that it is indeed a live being inside. Tough to talk about, but necessary to discuss

This video does a great job of bringing in feminist views about how appearance is everything in society today. We focus so much on image, cover up our origins. A very powerful video from when I first learned about rhetoric.

I have always heard the term "emo" but have honestly never been aware of what it meant or who can be classified as "emo."

I live in Murray, known as the athlete dorm, so I thought it would be interesting to look up the origin of the term "Jock," derived from the word "Jockstrap."
